MARINA: Marine Research & International Affairs

Led by Professor Edward H. Allison, our research group studies human interactions with marine and aquatic natural systems. Our work aims to answer questions related to the development and well-being of communities dependent on marine and freshwater resources and to understand the interactions between local drivers - ecology, governance, economics, human health, and culture - and global drivers such as climate change, globalization and demographic change.
